Experience with R:

Experience with packages including:

  • tidyr
  • ggplot2
  • dplyr
  • ggmap

Most of my experience with R is via my Google Data Analytics Course on Coursera, and another course specifically using R for Business Analysis.

I do not pretend to be an expert on R, however I have some background in C++, HTML, and Python, and found I like R more for data analysis than Python, as it’s quite intuitive and easy to get results from. I look forward to doing more projects utilizing R.

Experience with Kaggle:

I have been using Kaggle since August 2023, for the purposes of finding, exploring, and utilizing public datasets. It is also a great place to publish my own work and connect with other Data minded individuals for feedback or to explore their work as a way to educate myself in coding and current analysis practices in general.

I have the intention of entering a competition, but have yet to do so. You can view my Kaggle profile by clicking the icon below.

I was previously using GitHub as my main repository and coding sandbox, but I found Kaggle’s UI much easier to navigate. You can view my GitHub profile by clicking the icon below.

Project Utilizing R & Kaggle:

I did a full in depth narrative notebook in Kaggle using R Language and markdown, which is linked here. I will give a briefer breakdown of the project and findings below.

The dataset used was publicly accessible FitBit data from 30 users over a 1 month period, provided by Kaggle user Möbius.
